Five Guys is to open its first UK and European airport restaurant at Heathrow’s Terminal 5.
The unit will be located on the upper level of the terminal and will trade from the first flight of each day to the last.
It is expected to serve around 90 covers alongside takeaway options, and will offer both a breakfast and daytime menu.
The restaurant will feature travel-friendly elements, such as a larger number of ordering kiosks that offer six different language options.
“Having opened over 170 restaurants across the UK since we first launched back in 2013, the brand has established itself as one of the nation’s favourites for premium burgers,” said Five Guys UK CEO John Eckbert.
“Now Five Guys is cementing itself at the UK’s busiest travel hub – we are excited to be providing our delicious menu to travellers as part of their journeys.”
Heathrow retail director Fraser Brown added: “This exciting addition reflects our commitment to making every journey better, as we continue to build an extraordinary airport fit for the future. We’re confident this new arrival will be a hit with our passengers.”
The new Five Guys restaurant follows the launch of the “busiest ever” Starbucks, which opened at Heathrow Terminal 5 last summer.
The 252 sq ft store – a collaboration between food travel specialist SSP, Starbucks and Heathrow – is designed to serve hundreds of customers every hour.
