Delivered wholesale business Kitwave Group has appointed Marnie Millard as non-executive chair.
Millard brings over 20 years of executive and board-level experience in the fmcg industry to the role and previously served as CEO of Nichols, the owner of soft drink brand Vimto, for eight years.
At Nichols, she increased market capitalisation by 60% to £450m and doubled the Vimto brand’s retail sales value to £110m. The company also completed five acquisitions under her leadership.
Millard previously held senior commercial roles at Macaw and Gerber Juice, before going on to hold multiple company board positions.
She currently holds non-executive chair roles at Marks Electrical, University Academy 92 and MyPura, and last year joined the board of Applied Nutrition as a senior independent director and chair of the remuneration committee.
“On behalf of everyone at Kitwave, I am delighted to welcome Marnie to the board as our new chair,” said Kitwave CEO Ben Maxted.
“We believe that her experience and expertise will be of huge value as we continue to drive our growth strategy and enhance our customer offering.”
Millard will replace outgoing chair Steve Smith, who joined the wholesaler in 2016.
Speaking of Smith’s departure, Maxted added that he played “an integral role in our corporate development, which later led to our IPO in 2021 and our subsequent expansion as a public company”.
